Reach for the Stars - Jacquard Yorkshire Tweed is a gorgeous all-wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range. If you love our quality Yorkshire Tweeds plus distinct designer style, then this double-faced jacquard is for you.
A combination of classic mid and dark grey wool yarns are cleverly jacquard woven together to create this distinct designer style fabric, which features a neat design of aligned stars. The dual-sided construction creates a fabric that is closely woven, stable and strong, with a traditional wool feel (lightly felted-excellent medium coat weight).
Reach for the Stars boasts a stable handle width and length-wise and has a reassuringly soft and cosy drape quality. Both sides of this fabulous fabric are superb, all you have to do is decide which side you want to show off. You can make reversible garments and have the benefit of both, or garments with contrasting panels, pockets, collars, etc.
Ideal styles to make are simple unlined coatigans and cocoon coats, poncho's and capes. Classic overcoats and pea coats will have a designer edge when made in this first-rate designer fabric. Use both sides and have contrasting panels or collar and cuff details. This grown-up designer fabric will make super cute children's duffle coats and is totally unisex!
Use all your leftover scraps for accessories such as hats, caps and bags. Messenger-style bags are easy to make and are fabulous presents too!
