Visit Fabworks Mill Shop for all your fabric needs. A family-run fabric shop in West Yorkshire whose primary focus is selling high-quality, affordable, sustainable, deadstock fabrics, to sewists & all fabric lovers
With a range of fabrics, mostly sourced from the UK and Europe, you will find a host of cotton, wool, linen, occasion wear & jersey for all your dressmaking needs, as well as a host of haberdashery items
If you're looking for furnishing fabrics, there's much more in-store than available online, including cotton, linen, & synthetic upholstery & curtain fabrics, including unique one-off designs & displays to inspire your inner creative!
Other fabrics & textiles include leather & faux leather, rip-stop, scrap bags, rummage bins bursting with oddments, cushion inners, brocades, curtain lining & bump fabrics, plus deadstock accessories such as pure wool & cashmere scarves, throws, blankets and more, all sourced from local manufacturers
Fabworks does not currently offer a making service

We all work parttime, juggling home and work life in equal measures. The Mill Shop team is fronted by the dynamic duo, Claudia & Mel (centre & right), who are always in-store and ready to help with your fabric needs
If you're new to dressmaking, need advice with your next sewing project, or are unsure about curtain measurements, our expert team in-store are happy to offer guidance on fabric suitability and all the support you need to ensuring that your chosen fabric is perfect for your next make

The Fabworks Mill Shop staff have a great attitude towards helping all customers with their dressmaking, furnishing and fabric needs.
We are all major fabric enthusiasts with a vast collection of knowledge, gained through experience in industry, as well as fashion and design, costume and textiles degrees

Fabworks has its own private car park suitable for 15 cars. Parking is free but only for use when visiting the Mill Shop. All cars are left at owners risk. Mill Shop gates are locked at 4pm on weekdays and 2pm on Saturdays. If your car is left here beyond opening hours the gates will be unlocked at 9am the following working day

👩👦👦 Everyone is welcome at Fabworks! If you are visiting Fabworks Mill Shop with young children please be vigilant as there are some out of bounds areas & heavy rolls of fabric that will hurt if they fall on you
💷 Payment Info: Fabworks Mill Shop accepts payment via cash and card
👩🦽 Disability Access: Fabworks Mill Shop is on the ground floor of an old mill building with level access throughout. If you have any special access needs, don't hesitate to get in touch before your visit. Our staff will be happy to help you move around the shop and reach goodies down from the higher shelves as needed!
🚻 Facilities: Customer toilets are on site for customer use, located up a short flight of 3 stairs

What To Expect When Visiting
More than half of the floor space in the Mill Shop consists of dressmaking fabric; dive into the old wicker baskets to rummage for bargains, browse the hundreds of shirting cottons for blouse, dress and shirt inspiration, warm up with the cosy woollens and much more. Try some quick and easy makes with our jersey fabrics or wander into the section of beautiful designer linings and fine occasion wear fabrics.
If you're visiting to browse the soft furnishings, take your pick from hundreds of curtaining and upholstery fabrics all of which are in-stock and available on the day you visit.
