Introduction:
This printed Oxford weave 100% cotton fabric is woven from groups or picks of super soft cotton yarn to produce a lightly textured- basket weave-like fabric that's hard-wearing and super versatile.
Colour:
Navy & White Tabulation is woven with a classic navy base and printed in fresh white with a repeating design of rows of clustered dots (akin to early computer punch cards). Navy and white is such a classic combination and a great alternative to dark denim for more interest.
Properties:
Navy & White Tabulation has the lightly textured look and feel of a basket weave and is an excellent medium weight, which is hard-wearing and a perfect weight for smart casual shirts and also a good replacement for your usual go-to chambray or even lightweight suiting projects or structured/tailored garments. A soft, reassuring drape quality also makes this excellent fabric ideal for less structured garments or ones with soft gathers, pleats and tucks.

I didn't quite know how this fabric would feel, but with royal Oxford in the title I thought give it a go,at that price it's worth it.
Wow was I chuffed. It's a lovely weight ideal for cooler weather. It sews beautifully. There is a very slight stretch which makes setting seems a breeze.
The shirt I am making looks so smart and hangs lovely. My husband is very happy.
Still have a sleeve to set, collar and buttonholes to do but you can get the idea from the picture.
