Dark Indigo is a chambray style (lightweight) denim and as its name suggests, created from superfine dark indigo navy yarns across the warp. The weft yarns of soft ecru natural cotton are then interwoven to create the classic dark indigo denim look we all know and love, where the fine diagonals of the twill weave alternate from navy to ecru.
Properties:
This Denim is a 4.5oz (lightweight) denim with all the possibilities of chambray. At first touch, it has a slightly crisp hand that's stable and hard-wearing but will form superfine tucks, gathers and create fullness ideal for tiered skirt and dress styles and puffed sleeves. Once washed and worn this versatile fabric will soften and drape at length with a pleasing elegance.

These fabrics boasts excellent strength, stability and a versatile handle. They will drape well (when used at length) and has a pleasing malleable hand, yet will hold crisp details such as collars and top-stitched panels: characteristic of jeans and utility styles.
