Shades: This stylish Wool, Linen & Silk Speckled Suiting features a decadently dark chocolate brown hue, interspersed with a light sprinkling of white silk neps throughout, which form from tiny fiberous knots purposely woven into the fabric. Fine yarns of a black warp produce subtle depth. This understated combination has a class of its own, redolent of a handcrafted chocolate truffle lightly dusted with icing sugar.
Design: A superfine staggered twill weave, reminiscent of a fine herringbone, forms a rich, dark base for the scattered silk neps.
Overall: This natural fibre blend of wool, silk and linen, fine yarn has produced a versatile medium-weight fabric that is hard-wearing yet subtly luxurious.
Properties:
Texture: Dusted Truffle has a very lightly brushed with a soft wool touch. Woven in a heavier gauge and with a hint of linen in the cloth creates a slightly coarser feel and is complemented by a fine granular texture from the silk neps that adds gentle visual and tactile interest.
Handle: Dense, stable, and resilient thanks to closely set fine yarns and a compact twill structure, yet still has natural ease on the bias.
Drape: This crease-resistant wool, silk and linen fabric will drape elegantly in longer lengths while retaining body and fullness for tucks, pleats, and softly tailored silhouettes.
