Colour:

Soft taupe beige hues predominate in this finely woven Italian worsted suiting fabric.  A combination of neutral sand and dark smoke-grey yarns alternate and intersect in this clever chequerboard/parquet weave.

Neutral palettes are extremely versatile and can be combined with a variety of other lighter or darker hues depending on the season or the occasion. keep things simple and sit with either grey or beige solid tones or mix with rich natural hues of green and brown through to rust for autumnal vibes.

Properties:

Iced Latte is closely woven in a superfine flat chequerboard weave from the finest Italian worsted yarns and has added elastane to achieve a comfortable stretch. This ex-designer suiting fabric boasts excellent stability lengthwise and across the width. The fabric is malleable and crease-resistant with a reassuring drape quality, maintaining a fine lightweight without being flimsy- perfect for less-tailored silhouettes. This will gather pleat and tuck perfectly.

Garment Suggestions:

This fabric will make the smartest suits and corporate apparel - slim-fit trousers, neat pencil skirts, wide-legged trousers with sharp turn-ups, stylish blazers and matching waistcoats but consider the other options.

Utilise the drape quality and create fit and flare dresses, chic jumpsuits, classic pinafore dresses and wonderfully body-sculpting fitted dresses- look to Vogue Patterns for serious style inspiration. Using princess seams and adding gently flared peplums or godets and pleats will add interest, softness and style to tour makes.

Other Uses:

The use of tailoring / suiting fabrics has become a huge trend - from oversized blazer styles to men's style pants for women's wear. Look to this trend for chic separates and stand-alone pieces that will take you from the board room to the wine bar with ease.

Think clean lines, bias cutting, faux wrap front trousers and skirts and asymmetric details. these pieces are often simple to create but have an impact. Style less formally and create sharp utility style overshirts and worker jackets teamed with cargo pocket trousers and skirts.
