This hardwearing wool blend fabric has all the qualities of wool serge that is a sturdy and stable hand, (slight ease widthwise) heavy drape quality and a fine lightly grainy textured feel. The grainy feel is attributed to the high twist yarns which produce the hardwearing qualities.
The close weave is crested in a superfine twill-like construction where the characteristic diagonals are closely stacked together. This weave produces a fabric that is crease-resistant, snag-proof, soil resistant and ultimately hard-wearing.
