The Pattern:
The Trapeze is a Merchant & Mills signature – a relaxed, swingy A-line dress (or top) that has become a much-loved, year-round classic. One pattern gives you three sleeve options (sleeveless, short and three-quarter) plus a lengthen/shorten line so you can make it as a dress or a top. Easy to wear, satisfying to sew and endlessly repeatable.
Included in pattern: Full printed multi-size pattern and clear step-by-step instructions.
Sizes (UK): 8 – 18.
Skill level: Beginner – a great confidence-builder.
Suitable Fabrics:
Medium-weight, drapey wovens such as cotton twill, chambray or lawn, corduroy, denim (8–14oz), linen and linen blends, tencel, rayon or lightweight wool tweeds.
Additional Supplies Required:
Matching thread, fusible interfacing (0.25–0.35m) and buttons – 10 x 20–23mm for the dress, 6 for the top.
