This beautifully Slinky Sapphire is exactly as its name suggests! Jewel-toned deep blue sapphire with a matte almost silk sheen that has the most amazing fluid drape. When held in any quantity over 1metre this fabric has an almost weighty drape. An amazing crepe type with the characteristic fine grainy texture of good dress crepe but under close examination it is actually woven in a tiny herringbone weave. This makes Slinky Sapphire strong and hard-wearing with its reverse side slightly darker than the face.
Featuring a slight width stretch and good firm length stretch, this sophisticated fabric is perfect for fitted or occasional dresses such as ball gowns, prom dresses and bridesmaid dresses. The weight is also perfect for jumpsuits, playsuits and drapey wrap dresses.
Don't forget this versatile fabric will also make stunning palazzo pants, long line flowing skirts, pleated peg style trousers, unlined kimono style jackets, shrugs and boleros with long tie fronts, harem pants and culottes too!
