A classic darkest navy on the reverse. The face stripes run in dark, moody naval shipping lane hues, from flinty charcoal grey through to foggy sea blue, solid darkest navy, wet coastal sand and a blue-brown melange where the sea meets the sand.
Properties:
Dense yet still soft and malleable at a medium-heavy weight, warm and cosy.
Suggested Uses:
This 0.86 by 2.5 metre piece will create cosy gilet-style waistcoats with boxy pockets, and may even create a worker-style jacket with sleeves. It is the perfect width for lap blankets, for covering the back seats of cars, for neat car blankets and for picnic rugs, and will create one extra-long throw, perhaps for covering a three-seater sofa, or two neat lap blankets for two easy chairs: simply choose a contrasting or coordinating woolly yarn and blanket stitch the edges. Other uses include bags, hats, hot water bottle covers and other craft purposes, and it makes an ideal base for appliqué with solid felted wool or leather and suede remnants.
