Shades: Heathfire Dusk is a blanket-weight cashmere twill inspired by firelight fading into twilight. Stripes in burnt orange, maroon, peat brown, black-navy, thundercloud grey, moss, and tawny recall embers glowing across heath and moor. Shot through with a maroon weft, the palette is softened into a shaded harmony of warmth and shadow.
Design: Boasts a chunky twill-woven multi-hued block stripe featuring a consistent diagonal line of maroon yarn throughout all of the block stripes.
Properties:
Texture: Indulgent, soft, cosy and reassuringly warm, with a lightly brushed texture that can only be cashmere. Lightly ridged as a result of the chunky yarns used in its creation. Perfect for snuggling into or wrapping up a loved one.
Handle: Generally stable lengthwise, with slight ease along the width and the bias.
Drape: Despite the chunky, heavy-weight appearance, this fabric boasts a reassuring, soft drape quality.

One-Off Cashmere Lengths
This fabric is truly one of a kind; this is a sample length, a unique piece, made exclusively to explore new weaving designs and colour combinations. As such, it carries subtle evidence of its weaving process, with a few small knots that remain visible.
Each knot is listed at position (see the main product description above for specific detailing) so you’ll know exactly where they occur. Each knot is very small and affects only one yarn.
In truly honest Fabworks fashion, we have chosen to show rather than disguise the issue, and consequently we have reduced the price of the cashmere fabrics that are affected. Having examined the finished lengths and noted the knots, we are selling this fabric at just £40.00 per metre, not because we think it is only worth that, but because we want to inspire your trust, not fleece you, so we are taking the hit and being upfront and honest.
The recommended retail price for this fabric from the manufacturer is upwards of £150 per metre. Yes, it is top quality cashmere! We were planning to present this fabric at a very fair below-market-price of £60 per metre, however due to the visible knots this fabric is reduced to £40 per metre. We have taken the time to check each length thoroughly and they are free of any other imperfections.
To conceal the knots, gently push through to the reverse side, but we recommend not cutting these knots, as doing so may leave a small hole in the fabric. Alternatively, careful placement of your pattern pieces can avoid the knots appearing in your finished piece.
