Guiding Light is woven with a versatile palette of multi-tonal greys, black and bright yellow, like car headlights guiding you through the grey mist, clothed highways. Ideal for both classic, retro and high fashion garments. Tartan is timeless and plaid is not a fad! This classic looks fabulous teamed with super-smart black, grey and yellow separates.

Guiding Light has the look of a wool tartan, but is woven from hard-wearing polyester yarn perfect for school uniforms and children's clothing boasting a soft non-itchy feel, stable hand and reassuring medium-heavy drape quality which is ideal for tailoring.

Garment Suggestions:

Guiding Light will look great cut on the bias for tucked and draped Vivienne Westwood-style dresses and skirts. Other uses are pencil skirts, and classic semi-tailored silhouettes, jackets, waistcoats and 50's style cigarette pants, add a matching waistcoat such as The Jemima Waistcoat.

If you love bold tartan statements add some Cordelia Trousers, Pinafore dresses, fit and flare dresses and circle skirts and lots of other '40s & '50s Rockabilly, Retro and Lindy Bop Styles).  Create classic kilts, coats, jackets, capes and poncho wraps.

Hats, caps, bags and accessories.

Quality fabric, beefy.

I bought a bunch of samples before ordering and this is one of the fabrics I selected.
Has a nice soft, lightly brushed effect on one side which will feel great. I think I'm going to make a nice beefy shirt/overshirt from this as its perfectly suited to it (would also suit great a medium-heavy jacket imo), cant wait. Fabworks great in communications and queries, would happily recommend to others. Cheers! :P
