Specifications:

Weight: Light (Heavy Drape)

GSM: 179

Composition: 100% Viscose

Width: 144cm / 56.6inch

Colour:

Moody (multi-toned) French navy like the depths of the sea sits alongside seaweed green, whilst a subtle striped flank of pearly natural white creates the impression of sea foam-topped waves. This silken viscose shirt dress weight fabric has the cool palette of a coastal breezy stroll- classically smart and easily dressed up or down to suit your mood or occasion.

Properties:

Woven from the finest silken viscose yarns you would be forgiven for thinking this was silk. The superfine yarns even have the pearl-like lustre of silk. A close flat weave of intersecting 2-4mm stripes creates the smartest micro check with a hazy dusk-like appearance.

Viscose is known for its weighty fluid drape quality and cool feel, Coastal Breeze is no exception, this ex-designer fabric has an almost taffeta-like feel with its close weave and silken hand yet minus the crispness of taffeta. Stable with a slinky and weighty drape of an occasion-wear silk. It will pleat, gather and form excellent fullness, perfect for creating drama when fashioning your bespoke garments.

Garment Suggestions:

Style garments in this fabric up or down with its dark colour palette that's easy to do - sit alongside classic black separates or create stand-alone garments from classic shirts to more dramatic gathered full-sleeved blouses with feature bow tie necks and deep cuffs.

Extend the length and you have a super stylish dress, cinch in the waist with a belt or wear loosely and open over some leggings. Create occasion-wear dresses from simple bias cut slips to more dramatic full-skirted and fitted bodice styles with ruching and gathered details. There are so many options with a fabric of such versatile qualities.

Other Uses:

Headbands, hair wraps, fascinators, matching purses and evening bags.
