Properties:

Espresso boasts a strong and stable hand and a reassuringly soft, malleable, but heavy drape quality. Felted wool fabrics of this weight are suitable for a multitude of uses and are perfect for hard-wearing coats because the wool can be steamed and manipulated for tailored details.

The excellent stability makes the fabric easy to sew for beginners - it quite literally, stays put! Satisfying to sew and is super cosy and warm thanks to wool's natural temperature-regulating properties. Felted wool fabrics are treated/finished with a felting machine which knits the fibres together to create a denser and more hard-wearing fabric.

The fine twill weave detail (sometimes obscured by the felting process) can still be seen in Espresso and adds a pleasant visual textural quality. The overall finish of this soft felted fabric has a lightly raised texture and slight lustre aiding supple handling.
