The Huddersfield Tram stopped in 1940, but this lovely linear is definitely running and knows where it is going. The mainstay of sooty black harks back to Huddersfield’s industrial past, but is developed with an overall grey tonality thanks to two differing stripes in pale silver grey, one a triple pinstripe and the other almost like an overlock stitch design, giving a mid and very pale grey stripe effect, but with extra interest.

This bold, Huddersfield-woven, heavier weight worsted (perfect for trousers & suit styles), has an excellent drape, and will make wonderful retro 1940s styles with wide shoulders and lapels, or you can embrace the striking lines and create modern designer chic using the strong lines at different angles and asymmetry. If you are more cat by the fireside than catwalk, Huddersfield Tram also suits super four or six gore skirts, cut on the bias so the panels form stunning Vee shapes, paired with a bright single block colour.
