Specifications:

Weight: Medium

GSM: 246

Composition: Linen & Viscose

Width: 140cm / 55.1inch

Colour:
Shades: A smoky, dark grey striated mélange gives the fabric a super‑chic style.

Design: A speckled and striated appearance due to the mixture of yarn colours.

Overall: Neutrals are in for a reason, easy to style and pair.

Properties:

Texture: This expertly woven linen and viscose fabric was flat-woven with yarns blended with viscose to produce a silken sheen.

Handle: A silicone‑like back coating stabilises the weave and produces a lightly crisp feel akin to shower‑proof linen. We have conducted a simple water splash test on the fabric, and it is lightly shower‑proof; the water beads upon the reverse coating.

Drape: A soft and flowy drape despite the coating.

Garment Suggestions:
Types: Ideal for lightweight shower‑proof apparel such as sports‑luxe and semi‑shower‑proof garments. We recommend that you buy a sample to conduct your own wash‑and‑wear tests before purchasing.

Patterns: The Kelly Anorak by Closet Core would be the perfect pair to this fabric.

Other Uses:

Accessories: Create matching headwear to complete your outfit, such as scrunchies and head ties or match with your furry friends with dog accessories.

Upcycling: Ensure to hold on to your scraps. Use every bit in make-up bag linings, or creative textile art.

Linen’s Natural Charm

Rustic Texture, Cool Comfort, Everyday Ease

Linen is a natural fibre fabric perfect for summer, being cool, breathable and becoming softer and more relaxed with every wear and wash, whilst also being extremely durable and very versatile. Whether you choose it for carefree holiday outfits or shape, pleat and press it into crisp work wear, linen should be a go-to for home sewists. It has a texture and drape that gives that easy lived‑in, cool, relaxed feel, while still being able to press into something crisp when you want a cleaner look.

Its signature slubs and gentle texture lend every piece a pleasantly rustic, artisan style, perfect for floaty dresses, crisp shirts, relaxed trousers and everyday wardrobe favourites.

Linen is as much a pleasure to sew as to wear, having a stable weave that works for floaty casual dresses, wide-legged trousers or crisp office shirts and If you love natural fabrics, linen is for you.
