Applepicker Dress Pattern - Sew Different
The Pattern:
The Applepicker Dress is a classic, tiered dress (or buffet dress, as the GBSB would describe it). However, the difference, combining both comfort and elegance – the best of both worlds!
The bodice has bust darts – this isn’t always necessary in a stretch fabric but it make for a better fit with fabrics that only have a small amount of stretch or that are a little more structured (such as a ponte de roma). You have the option of cap sleeves or long sleeves.
The bottom half is made of two gathered tiers creating a full and floaty skirt with spacious in-seam pockets.

Comes in 10 sizes: UK 8- 26
Suggested fabrics:
Bodice – stretch fabrics such as jersey, scuba, double knit, ponte de roma
Skirt – light jersey, cotton, linen, viscose, silk, crepe

SKIRT: All sizes • 2m / 2.25yds
Fabric width 112cm / 45inch
BODICE:
Sizes 8 – 18 • 1.25m / 1.5yds
Sizes 20 – 26 • 1.75m / 2yds
SKIRT – Not suitable for this width fabric.
