Introduction:
This cloth was saved from a West Yorkshire woollen manufacturer, where it would otherwise have been destroyed. Rescuing good cloth from waste is what Fabworks is for. This roll came through the salvage in perfect condition with no fault, so it is offered at its full price.

Red Alert is attention grabbing, emotion stirring and bold. This superb, bright and commanding orange based red is a classic woollen medium weight fabric. Perfect for recreating historical military styles, or simply for stylish commanding red numbers. Whether you choose to create clothing or crafts, Red Alert is a winner.
Properties:
Woven by a renowned Yorkshire woollen mill from super soft, exquisite quality wool yarn, this stunning and lightly brushed Melton fabric has soft napped surfaces, allowing rain to run off easily. One side is slightly less napped but with a suitably soft and cosy feel.
With a medium to heavy drapey hand and slight bias ease, this fabric is very stable width and lengthwise. When light is captured on the brushed face of this superior quality woven wool the subtle lustre of the quality yarns is displayed. This gives a truly polished and classic appearance to any garment constructed from it. As with any napped Melton, the surface may be prone to pilling in wear.
