Cordelia Trousers:
Chic and sophisticated Ladies wide-leg paper-bag trousers. High-waisted, pleated fronts & elasticated back waistband. Available in full length and cropped length just below the knee. Optional paper-bag waistband and belt pattern included. The pattern also includes two front pockets.

The Cordelia Trousers are super versatile and suitable for most light to medium weight fabrics including stable woven fabrics such as wool suiting, cotton, denim, drills, twills, & linen.
We absolutely love Denim-Look Utility Linens! They are perfect for holding all the details seen in the Cordelia Trousers especially the crisp paper-bag pleats and trouser front pleats for a perfectly polished look either to dress up or dress down. The stunning drape of these twill fabrics, make them ideal for full and cropped length versions of the pattern and the denim style chambray colours available make them a perennial favourite of ours.

I made these in size 14 and they were true to the measurements on the pattern. I especially liked the rise measurement, this was really helpful. The fit was great with no adjustments except to lengthen the leg slightly.
I bought the paper pattern which is printed on paper, not tissue, and came with a separate instruction book. The trousers were easy to put together and if you have not done a zip fly before the instructions were very clear. The suggested timing of 4 to 5 hours was about right; I am not a fast sewist.
I used linen look cotton and will make again in a more wintry fabric for the colder months. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this pattern.
