GSM: 260
Composition: 100% Merino Wool
Width: 154cm / 60.6inch
Colour:
Shades: This classic merino wool fine twill features a solid sand beige hue, redolent of the sweeping dunes of the Sahara. A timeless neutral that has long influenced fashion and tailoring, it conveys a clean, understated aesthetic.
Design: A solid, all-over colour with a fine twill weave.
Overall: Refined, versatile, and quietly confident. This fabric sits perfectly within a modern heritage style, classic at heart, yet endlessly adaptable for contemporary wardrobes.
Properties:
Texture: This merino wool suiting has a beautifully smooth, worsted finish with an almost brushed feel against the skin. Naturally breathable, it helps regulate body temperature for comfortable wear across seasons.
Handle: Stable in its width with gentle give in the length and bias, making it reliable and rewarding to work with. It presses crisply, sews cleanly, and holds structure exceptionally well, yet provides comfort and movement with the body.
Drape: Expect a soft yet weighty drape with a pleasing ‘swish’ when used in volume. It forms sharp pleats, tucks, and folds with ease, offering excellent body for both structured and fluid designs.
Garment Suggestions:
Types: Ideal for smart trousers, tailored jackets, skirts, shirt dresses, lightweight coats, and relaxed tailoring. Perfect for pieces that benefit from clean lines, structure, and a polished finish.

Other Uses:
Accessories: Perfect for creating timeless, structured pieces such as tote bags, shoulder bags, laptop sleeves, caps and hats. This smart 100% wool lends itself well to accessories that call for form and durability, with a refined, understated finish.
Furnishings: While primarily a garment fabric, it also works beautifully for tailored home accents such as cushion covers, boxed seat pads, blind trims, and draught excluders, perfect for a clean, uniform-inspired interior look.
Upcycling: Excellent for scrap-friendly projects, including appliqué, patchwork, and textile art. Offcuts can be used for contrast panels, fabric trays, coasters, or charming soft furnishings like classic Scottie dogs, teddy bears, and dachshund draught excluders.
