Rich multi-tonal midnight sapphire hues dominate throughout this first-rate Italian woven 100% wool flannel. Woven in a mesmerising diamond weave design that emulates the Greek key or meander design, the combination of sapphire blue and black luxuriously soft, lustrous yarns produces an illusion of rows of tiny maze motifs.

Sapphire Meandering Maze has a super soft, brushed, lightly felted feel with a stable handle and delicious drape that will keep you cosy and comfortable while helping you to maintain an air of relaxed sophistication.

A beautiful fabric...
This fabric is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the best wools I have ever worked with that wasn't a Melton or boiled wool. It does not fray much at all and it cuts very well. I like nice sharp and smooth lines when I cut and this fabric gives me this. It suits the coat pattern I am making perfectly. The photo is of the shell completed. With this fabric it took me a total of six and a half hours to get it done.
It is smooth on my very irritable skin and feels like silky feathers but still gives warmth. It is lighter than I thought it would be but I don't mind that as I don't like wearing coats. This feels more like a protective cardi. It suits the pattern I am making perfectly. I'm thinking of getting the grey as well.
I also will say Fabworks is THE BEST for good quality wool fabrics for coats and jackets. It is the first place I turn to for good home made wools.
