Deliciously drapey crepe de chine in a fabulous purple blue hue. An easy-care polyester dressmaking go-to, boasting all the usual characteristics of a quality crepe de chine fabric: lightweight but not flimsy or translucent, with a fine grained textured that's not at all scratchy, plus a versatile matte appearance. With a stable handle both width and lengthwise and a pleasing slinky drape is perfect for a multitude of dressmaking purposes.

An ideal drapey fabric for layering feminine details over ballgowns or evening and prom dresses, its violet hue has a certain vintage appeal that’s perfect for creating all those flattering details that dresses and gowns from the '40s & ‘50s were renowned for (feminine gathers and neat covered buttons).

Put our Wild Violet to good use for elegant blouses and dresses, shirtdresses and drapey cowl-neck and pussy bow styles. Smart work-wear shirts in classic styles will look wonderful in this fabric. It's even perfect for basic shell-style T-shirt tops. Use this versatile fabric to dress up your black jeans for a quick smart/casual look too!
