There's a summery and fresh lightness to this 100% cotton poplin, with its horizontal stripes in faded blue, white and green, and the addition of a superfine black thread gives extra definition to the stripes. Shadow Stripe Poplin is soft and almost silky to the touch, yet has a strong and stable handle and drape quality.
This fabric is an excellent choice for shirts (traditional and collarless) and blouses for historical re-enactment costumes (it will tuck, gather and pleat beautifully). How about making a cool and comfortable shirt-dress or shorts for summer, and it will also be lovely for lightweight smocks for little girls, and pyjamas for both adults and children.
