Shade: A versatile golden sand hue gives this textured, striped chenille upholstery fabric classic versatility. Golden tones have a timeless style and sit alongside most other colours and tones.
Design: Solid, flat weave at the base woven with a matte yarn, with an almost corded, feature silken chenille weft yarn woven into 1.2cm raised, horizontal stripes, evoking the appearance of furrowed silken sand glistening in the sunlight.
Style: This hardwearing, tactile fabric is super versatile and will complement most styles, from modern boxy silhouettes to retro, vintage and traditional.
Properties:
Texture: Sand Silk Furrows has (as one would expect from a chenille fabric) a raised, ribbed texture of soft and silky, lightly brushed, napped fibres with the pleasing feel of cotton and lustre of silk.
Handle: Sand Silk Furrows boasts a stable hand width and lengthwise with natural bias ease for shaping and manipulation.
Drape: This sumptuous upholstery fabric will drape reassuringly with a heavy drape quality when used with the stripes running vertically. Note that the overall width is 138cm. Curtains made with the stripe used horizontally, offering a more structured appearance with less fluidity.
