Arrondissement Haute Check is a classic district check with a very graphic 'high' style. The houndstooth 'motifs' create the impression of 'blocks' on a city map.

This super two-toned graphic icon has been a fashion favourite for decades. The monotone tessellated design was seen as a status symbol for the upper classes to mark their arrival to the style scene. Christian Dior was one of the first to popularize this iconic fabric design when his S/S designs hit the runway in 1948. Since then this classic has been favoured by top designers from McQueen, and Quant to Gucci.

Arrondissement Haute Check is woven from a superb combination of fine black and natural white yarns further enhanced with wonderfully subtle olive green.

Woven with the finest silken yarns of combed wool, silk and viscose producing a medium-weight fabric that has visual and textural interest and a fabric that's so soft you can tell this is true 'Haute Couture'. Boasting a stable hand with a silky supple and malleable drape quality.

Garment Suggestions:

This iconic designer classic is suitable for a host of chic garment options. Start with simple poncho-style capes, coatigans, cocoon coats, striking bomber jackets with contrasting black sleeves, capelets and bolero cropped jackets or French couture style jackets teamed with classic pencil skirts. Create a homage to Dior and make 1950s retro and vintage style swing coats and jackets and wear with a matching fitted sheath style dress.

Arrondissement Haute Check is ideal for mixing and matching with olive solid-coloured items in your wardrobe, put alongside tan and camel hues for a stylish combination.

Other Uses:

This stable and cosy wool and silk blend is also perfect for stylish hats, caps and bags.
