The Natural Beauty of Our Leather Hides

Every hide in our collection is unique, with subtle variations that make each piece truly one-of-a-kind. These differences, from fine lines and textures to natural tonal variations, are not flaws, but part of what gives leather its character and authenticity.

When you work with leather, you’re embracing a material that tells a story. Instead of seeking perfection, we celebrate the marks, shades, and textures that make each hide distinct. Whether it’s a smooth section, a textured line, or a subtle shift in tone, these qualities add richness and life to your work, ensuring that every finished piece feels personal and premium.

How We Sell Our Leather Hides

Our leather hides are sold by the unit, giving you flexibility whether you need a small piece or a full hide. Please view the product listings for detailed information on unit sizes and pricing. The illustration below gives a clear visual of how units relate to a full hide.

We also offer small leather samples, designed to give you a real sense of the leather’s colour, weight, and texture. These are slightly smaller than our regular samples to preserve the volume of the hide while still letting you experience the material up close.

Our Guide to Working with Leather Hides

Working with Leather: Tips & Tools

Leather behaves a little differently from fabric, but with a few simple adjustments it can be a pleasure to work with. From choosing the right needle to cutting, marking and handling your hide, these practical tips are designed to help you achieve the best results while working confidently with leather and embracing its natural character.

Caring for Leather

Leather is a durable, premium material and with a little regular care it will continue to look its best for years. Most of our hides have a pigmented or protected finish, making them easier to clean and maintain. Our care guidance covers simple steps to help preserve the leather’s surface, colour and natural character over time.

Storing Leather

To keep your leather looking its best, we advise that you store hides flat or loosely rolled rather than folded. Avoid placing heavy objects on top, which can create permanent creases. Keeping them in a cool, dry environment will help preserve the texture and ensure a smooth, polished finish when you’re ready to use them.

Sourcing Premium Quality Leather Hides

Our leather hides are carefully sourced in the UK from trusted suppliers and are crafted from premium Italian-made leather, ensuring consistent quality and a luxurious feel. Unlike our regular deadstock fabrics, these leathers are repeatable, making them ideal for larger projects where you need reliability without compromising on elegance.

At the same time, leather is a natural and unique material. Even when processed using the same expert techniques, no two hides are exactly alike. Subtle differences in colour, tone, and texture are part of their charm, giving each project character and authenticity that only real leather can provide.
