Specifications:

Weight: medium / heavy

GSM: 470

Composition: 100% Wool

Width: 150cm / 59.1inch

Colour:

Shades: Soft lilac hues shifting between light and shadow. Crystal Amethyst is inspired by the natural beauty of amethyst Geodes and crystal clusters, where rough exteriors hide breathtaking beauty and shifting colourplay. Their association with clarity, calm, and luxury. The barely perceptible herringbone chevrons are redolent of the crystal shards of amethyst.

Design: The classic, rhythmic chevron pattern of a heritage herringbone weave, featuring a marled grey base. Its slightly obscured herringbone pattern softens the classic chevron into a subtle texture. Woven with a soft, brushed, heavier gauge boucle yarn featuring a predominantly lilac-amethyst hue with the addition of a superfine charcoal twist within the yarn. The weft yarns alternate between the two yarns and produce an allover marled-speckled effect to the overall surface.

The weave hides within itself a subtle, obscured herringbone pattern, creating depth and intrigue: a heritage structure glimpsed beneath modern softness.

Overall: A nod to classic herringbone tweed, softened by bouclé texture and pastel hues. Amethyst tones offer elegance and modern femininity, offset by the restraint of charcoal. Textural richness with a gentle colour story, perfect for refined, versatile applications.

Properties:

Texture: A versatile medium-weight and traditional tweedy feel- the use of a boucle-style yarn creates a wonderfully slubby texture and a more distinct tweedy look and style.

Handle: It boasts a stable handle that drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. It’s the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects, and it will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.

Drape: This 100% wool fabric boasts a heavy, reassuring drape quality, perfect for those cosy winter layers.
