Navy Indigo is a classic! Dark and inky navy indigo colouring with a fine twill weave, this fabric has so much going for it! If you want almost black indigo denim then this is the one, it will showcase contrasting topstitching perfectly!
Boasting ample usable width and a strong and stable handle (and a useful 2% elastane across the width). This dark (and super smart denim) will drape if used in longer lengths.
Denim was originally designed for hard-wearing workwear and has become a fashion staple that we can't imagine life without. What will you make from this versatile denim? Navy Indigo is perfect for jeans, especially retro 1950s styles, dungarees like our The Pattern Stash - Lynsey Dungarees and pinafore dresses. Neat skirts such as our new Amelia Skirt! Practical pinafores, french aprons and classic denim jackets will also look excellent.
We strongly recommend pre-washing your fabric (separately) before making your garment as there will be some colour rub to this deep dye denim when new.
We also recommend purchasing a little extra to allow for possible shrinkage - common in denim fabrics (and subsequent washing with dark colours only). This excellent denim will fade and wear subtly and beautifully.
Fabworks recommends purchasing samples and conducting your own wash tests prior to making up your projects - Fabworks cannot be held responsible for any treatment of the fabric once in the possession of the customer.
