Black and Silver Shimmer Silky Pre-Pleat is just as its name suggests, a wonderful fine black jersey with the addition of shimmering silver lurex stripes. The overall effect is quite translucent. The pleats run horizontally selvedge to selvedge, this needs to be taken into consideration when cutting garments out. With good horizontal stretch width wise along the pleats and good vertical stretch across the pleats, this slinky fabric has a superb drape and lightweight handle.
The use of a silky light weight jersey lining such as ‘soft touch’ is advised when creating garments in this knitted fabric, alternatively simply double layer the fabric to add density. Made even more fabulous with its clever pre-pleated treatment, this pre-pleat fabric is all over the high street perfect for quick makes that are bang on trend.
Perfect for maxi dresses and skirts, drapey wrap dresses, lined lightweight elastic waist skirts and draped tops with knot front details.
