Colour:
Shades: This classic jumbo herringbone, heavy wool tweed features a palette of contrasting natural winter white chunky yarns across the warp and sweet Fuchsia pink (purple-based pink) pulsing across the weft like life beneath the snow. This winning combination celebrates bold femininity, warmth, and texture.
Design: The jumbo-scale herringbone magnifies the drama of the colour contrast, with each chevron formed from robust, chunky lambswool yarns. This enlarged pattern gives the cloth a modern rustic appeal, unmistakably woollen, full of character, and designed to make an impact whether used in garments or home textiles.
Overall: A palette of soft elegance and gentle charm, wrapped in cosy lambswool warmth and elevated by the timeless jumbo herringbone pattern. Perfect for refined pastel schemes, comforting winter styles, Scandi–meets–romantic interiors, and clothing that feels both classic and contemporary.
Properties:
Texture: Soft and reassuring, with the lightly felted, cosy feel typical of Yorkshire-woven lambswool tweeds. Plush, lofty, and cocooning with a natural lambswool softness.
Handle: A stable medium/heavyweight handle that remains soft and approachable. It behaves beautifully in the sewing room, cooperative, obedient, and satisfying to work with. Durable and dependable, the kind of wool that sews cleanly, presses well, and will stand the test of time, season after season.
Drape: A confident, structured drape with enough movement to sit comfortably in coats, jackets, overshirts, skirts, and winter-weight dresses. Its density promises lasting warmth without compromising tactile comfort.
Garment Suggestions:
Types: Perfect for fashioning classic outerwear and hard-wearing separates. Start with simple, stylish waistcoats and cosy skirts. Add a complementary lining for garments that will soon become perennial favourites. Tried and tested, these medium-heavy-weight materials have a variety of stylish and practical uses, from clothing and accessories to home furnishings and so much more.

Furnishings: Use this hard-wearing, yet soft classic wool to create a range of coordinating soft furnishings such as curtains, blinds, throws, blankets and cushions for truly harmonious styling in the home.
Upcycling: Don't let your scraps go to waste; use them for appliquéd cushions, bags, door stops, and draught excluders.
