Overview:
This fabric is part of a special selection of Mill shop overstock items that we believe are simply too good to reserve exclusively for the shop. Now available online, these high-quality deadstock furnishing fabrics offer the perfect opportunity to create something truly special.
Specifications:
Weight: Medium / Heavy
Composition: 100% Polyester
Width: 140cm / 55.1inch
Colour:
Shade: A calming, soft green, solid hue, the colour of dried bay leaves and other aromatic herbs, is the feature colour of this quality cotton-feel furnishing fabric. Soft green hues are restful and calming, producing a serene effect when used alongside other natural colours and tones. Pair it with soft browns, creams, beiges and taupes or use alongside our deluxe furnishing printed velvets to pick out any natural green tones and temper busy designs.
Design: Solid, flat weave with feature chenille weft yarn woven through a fine warp yarn base. The silken lustre of the fluffy and soft chenille yarn produces a multi-tonal effect when presented to the light. Unlike velvet, chenille does not have a particular directional pile.
Style: This soft and tactile fabric is ideal for a wide range of styles, from modern boxy silhouettes to retro, vintage or traditional decor, depending on your choice of aesthetic.
Properties:
Texture: Bouquet Garni has (as one would expect from a chenille fabric) a soft and silky, lightly brushed, napped hand with the feel of cotton but the practicality of synthetic fibres.
Handle: This fabric boasts a stable hand width and lengthwise with natural bias ease for gentle shaping.
Drape: This sumptuous fabric boasts a deliciously malleable and reassuringly heavy drape quality, which will provide luxurious draught protection and style.
Uses:
Accessories: Create matching door stops, draught excluders, storage cubes/pockets, tote bags from this hard-wearing fabric.
Furnishings: Ideal for reupholstery projects, including boxed cushion pads, removable covers, fixed upholstered pelmets, scatter cushions, bolsters, floor cushions, and bean bags.
Upcycling: Use your off-cuts for: rag rugs, wall hangings and textile art pieces.
