Blissful Briar Rose is a fresh, feminine, floral fabric printed with a beautiful, wild rose design onto a perfect soft pink background. A simple palette of black, taupe and crushed strawberry tones is highlighted by white in the pretty posies of roses.

This clever fabric has the look and feel of a medium-weight scuba fabric, but is actually woven from a polyester and lycra (high lycra content), which gives the fabric an amazing bounce-back stretch to the length and a firm, but less pronounced, stretch to the width.

You may already have clothing made from a similar type of fabric called bengaline. It has a very fine ribbed effect (on ours, it forms a twill-like detail) and superb matte finish that takes the print and colours perfectly.

This amazing fabric also boasts a very desirable drape quality that's very fluid and quite substantial due to the weight of the elastane/lycra content. Bengaline type fashion fabrics are ideal for making styles that require fitted details such as princess seams. Neat styles like pencil skirts, with darts and capri/cigarette style pants would all make up excellently in this fabric.

Any kind of semi-fitted garment can be made from our wonderful Blissful Briar Rose, where you need both comfort and stretch. This fabric is easy wear, easy care and won't crease! Put it to use making a wide variety of skirts, fit and flare dresses, slim fit trousers and tailored jackets, to name but a few.
