Wings of Desire (Bronze & Marron) Jewel Jacquard, is a finely woven, silken shot-jacquard, this lightweight viscose/acetate twill boasts a jacquard woven design of shimmering butterflies and moths- desired by (Lepidoperists) collectors of these winged insects. These beauties are depicted in a silken bronze hue depicted against a lustrous rich brown (marron) background. This quality fabric has a wonderful classic, yet modern style that's seriously smart.

Wings of Desire will appeal to those who love timeless yet striking design. The clever jacquard weave produces varied visual and textural interest that oozes prestige and class. These impeccably woven fabrics can be dual-sided should you choose. (The reverse displaying the opposite colour placement of the face.)

The overall effect is rich, smart and sophisticated. Suitable for both ladies and gents clothing and has a dark and sophisticated style perfect for adding a conversational quirky yet stylish touch to your wardrobe.

Boasting a super soft, cool silky feel and subtle sheen you would be forgiven for thinking this was silk. This first-rate satin jacquard has a sumptuous hand that is stable width and lengthwise, with a delicious drape. All you have to decide now is what to make...

Wings of Desire will of course make a statement lining for your bespoke woollen jackets, waistcoats and coats. You won’t be able to resist showing people your wonderful lining! Why hide this handsome beauty away? You can also create stunning occasion wear pieces; dresses with drape & gathered details, bow-tie blouses & dresses, cowl necked shift dresses, simple dolman sleeved tops and quick-make slashed-neck scarf style tops will all add a hint of luxury to simple jeans and top outfits.

Take this elegant wonder and create dramatic '70s inspired puffed full-sleeve shirts with deep cuffs and matching cover buttons. Extend this style into gathered tiered-skirted dresses and wear with statement boots for a fabulous A/W occasion wear piece.

Spoil yourself or someone special and create stylish and sumptuous traditional pyjamas with coordinating re satin-piped collars and pocket tops. Or the prettiest camisole and shorts set with coordinating lace and matching kimono robe. Take a look at Vanessa Mooncie's 'The Gentleman's Wardrobe' for a fabulous two-tone gents robe pattern and all the instructions too!

This delightful Designer Jacquard is the perfect choice for lining our new Jewels of Yorkshire woollen fabric collection. The jewel hues in both collections are a match made in heaven!

Perfect lining

I bought this to go with some Avoca wool fabric and I’m so pleased with the quality, design and colour.

Beautiful lining fabric

I used this along with some of the Yorkshire tweed to make a waistcoat for my husband. I used the reverse for the back to contrast to the lining. It's got lovely butterflies and moths on it...not too feminine.
