The delightfully delicate and classic Ivory Sheer Polka Dot has a timeless elegance. The fine gauge knitted translucent background has 1.5cm opaque polka dots knitted throughout.

Properties:

Boasting a soft, cotton-like lightweight handle that’s delicate but not flimsy, a lightweight, soft drape quality and good width wise stretch (none such on the length). This beautiful fabric will form pretty gathers and ruffles, perfect for dreamy, feminine styles such as bell sleeved and Bardot tops.

Garment Suggestions:

Use Ivory Sheer Polka Dot in combination with a plain ivory similar weight single jersey such as Super Soft Cream Single Jersey to create garments with feature yokes and sleeves. Add some antique lace trim for a true bohemian or Lagenlook style. Add a high neck to your yoke detail top and some tiny mother of pearl buttons for an Edwardian style with a modern take. 70s, boho, retro styled blouses and dresses will look superb when fashioned in this beauty.

Combine this jersey with a heavier, slinky ivory scuba fabric to create figure hugging dresses with sheer sleeves and yokes. How appropriate for a low-key wedding dress style? For full-on '70s fashion, create prettily gathered full sleeved tops and dresses with layered and tiered skirts. Don’t forget to add antique lace! By using a combination of cream jerseys of differing textures you can achieve the new prairie style. This look is super for summer dresses for ladies and little girls alike.
