Tawny Night Herringbone - Yorkshire Tweed is a gorgeous all wool tweed. Manufactured in Huddersfield undergoing the same processes as our exclusive Heart of Huddersfield range.

Woven from a delightful blend of multi tonal yarns, this fabric is dark and full of rich natural tones. A beautiful multi tonal warp yarn with rich brown and golden beige (like the tones of a Tawny owl's plumage) which forms the fabric's base layer. With the weft formed by a dark charcoal yarn, creating a subtle contrast between the chevrons of the herringbone weave. The combination of the two yarns evokes the shadowy depths of a midnight forest where Tawny owls call from the ancient trees.

An excellent alternative to black this serious herringbone Yorkshire tweed is just stunning. Tawny Night is a closely woven woollen fabric and has a versatile medium weight and a traditional rustic wool feel that boasts a stable handle that drapes reassuringly with the promise of cosy warmth. It’s the perfect fabric for a plethora of sewing room projects and will always do as it’s told. Wool of this kind is easy to sew and will stand the test of time.

Dressmakers, Reenactors, Costumiers, Interior Designers, Craftspeople and all lovers of textiles will find a plethora of uses for this first-rate herringbone, taking you through A/W and perfectly into spring.
