Introducing The Herringbones:
This gorgeous woollen tweed is one of twelve exclusive fabrics that form the new Heart of Huddersfield Collection for 2022. Hot off the looms and manufactured by Fabworks, from yarn through to weaving and finishing this bespoke beauty has been made in Yorkshire mills by Yorkshire folk! The HoH 2022 collection features two different coloured warps. Six of the twelve herringbones feature a soft misty grey warp, that form the Mist Herringbones. (The other six feature a dark stormy grey warp and form the Storm Herringbones.)

Featuring chevrons of rich and vibrant, light teal blues with marled dark undertones alongside the signature stormy grey warp helps to create a harmonious colour palette as striking as its namesake: Kingfisher Flash – Storm Herringbone. Organised herringbone rows of turquoise blue and storm grey mirror kingfisher wings and create the perfect combination in a classic herringbone weave we know and love so much.
This tweed is a nostalgic reminder of our original Rain On The River collection drawing its inspiration from the aquatic side of nature, as Kingfishers emerge after heavy rains.
Colour Coordination:
Add the jewel hues of Kingfisher Flash to your A/W wardrobe with this divine woollen. Team with the cool and calming hues of Yorkshire Lavender, or Squirrels’ Drey whose orange rust tone (as if it were kingfisher plumage) compliments the teal blues impeccably, and together are perfect for creating unique nature-inspired themes.

Ordered sample as wanted to see and feel the fabric rather than taking pot luck.
Lovely colour and fabric.
This one was lighter in colour than i wanted. Ordered several to look at, sadly not this one for my choice but still fabulous fabric..

This gorgeous fabric is going to be a winter coat. I’ll be making it slowly at my weekly sewing class using a vogue pattern and with a glorious fuschia pink lining. I can’t wait to get started!
