Think parties, think glitter, think - wait for it - Christmas! Well, that's what our thoughts turned to when we saw this fabulous fabric (and its close friend, Silver and Rose Gold).
Superfine Black and Purple Lurex Silky Pre-Pleat is a finely woven, almost mesh like, single jersey. The base colour is black, which has been knitted with a very fine purple lurex thread to give an almost two tone sparkly effect. Thin pleats run horizontally across the fabric giving a good stretch to both length and width, and it has a lightweight drapey handle.
The sheer nature of this fabric means it will look amazing layered over silks, or silky jerseys - make it up in a simple T-shirt or shell top shape and wear it over a black vest for a quick bit of sparkle on a plain outfit. Or how about using it for flowing sleeves, or a fan train insert, on a velvet or sequinned gown? Suggested uses: evening wear, dance wear, theatrical costumes.
