Introduction:

This stunning shot/two-tone Italian fabric is woven with superfine high thread count yarns in an impeccable smooth/flat weave and is suitable for a host of stylish makes.

Colour:

Rich black silken fine cotton yarns are closely packed together across the warp to form the base for the light mossy green weft yarns. The combination of the two tones (black and moss green) produces a rich two-tone/shot dark olive green the colour of deep and mossy shaded woods. stylish.  This is a fabric with a definite air of self-assured style- designer quality - without the price tag.

Properties:

Deep Woods boasts a stable handle, soft (yet crisp) cool cotton feel and soft drape quality with an almost taffeta-like lustre which will pleat, tuck and gather to form pretty ruffles and excellent fullness if required. This classic Italian shirt fabric will of course hold crisp details such as collars, cuffs and button bands, but there are a host of other things to make from this first-rate cotton poplin.

easy-make T-shirt style tops, shirts and blouses, shirt dresses, boho-prairie style dresses with tiered skirts and gathered ruffles, Megan Nielsen Protea Collection Pattern, pretty little girls and toddler dresses with gathered/smocked yokes - use contrasting red embroidery threads to create stunning detail- perfect for winter party outfits- add a red or tartan sash to complete the look.

Traditional styles never date. (Vogue Patterns - 9177 is a suitable pattern). Add some pretty embroidery or ready-made embroidered motifs to your shirts, dresses and blouses to create stunning evening attire. Extend this theme into kimono robes and you will have superb dramatic cool cotton robes with drama!
