Linen has been used for centuries for its beneficial properties; it is cool and breathable, gets softer with washing & wear, and linen is impervious to moths and resists dirt and stains. Linen will not form lint or pill and can be washed at high temperatures with only moderate shrinkage. (approx 4%). The addition of viscose produces a softer hand with a subtle silken sheen.

The characteristic slubs (once viewed as a fault) are now part of the aesthetic appeal of quality linen fabric. Dante's Windowpane Check is stable, and lightly textured, with the reassuring naturally absorbent and comfortable feel of a favourite linen garment, lightly crisp and will soften with washing and wear. This light- medium-weight fabric is predominantly closely woven with a feature of fancy open weave areas that glisten with the silken sheen of the viscose fibres, creating an almost French couture style perfect for Channelling your inner designer!
