The biggest event of the year is our annual celebration of Fabworks Online’s birthday, when we bring you fabrics that we’ve saved especially for the occasion and add free gifts to each order. Find birthday specials, including luxurious one-offs, exciting new fabrics and pieces that won’t be back.

One-Off Cashmere Lengths
From the sample-room of an esteemed Yorkshire-based British cashmere manufacturer that we have saved especially for the Birthday. These lengths are perfect quality and ideal for clothing and fine dressmaking projects. All one-off specials, individually priced based on their length.

One-Off Cashmere Large Pieces
From the same sample-room as the cashmere lengths, these are perfect quality but under full width, however still suitable for clothing and fine dressmaking projects.
The measurements of each large piece are shown in the product's title and description.
FREE Lining With Wool Fabrics
Buy 1.5m (3 units) or more of any individual Cut Length wool or cashmere fabric from our collection of over 600, and we’ll add a free colour-matched lightweight satin lining fabric in the same length, so you can start sewing sooner. For example, 2m (4 units) comes with 2m of lining. Each individual fabric qualifies for matching lining.

Remnant Bundles
Perfect for craft and remnant lovers. These are smaller pieces of super quality pure cashmere and pure wool, from the same supplier as the cashmere lengths.

Haberdashery Hampers

The contents within each are a lucky dip featuring an assortment of high-quality deadstock haberdashery sourced from a British garment manufacturer and selected by the Fabworks team. What is the Fabworks Birthday?
Once a year we celebrate the birthday of Fabworks Online. It’s the best time of year to order from us. We bring out one-of-a-kind fabrics we’ve saved especially for the occasion, and we add free gifts to your order.
Who are Fabworks?
We’re a family-run fabric business in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, now in our fifth generation. Nearly everything we sell is unique to us: we specialise in natural fibre fabrics for clothing and dressmaking as well as offering a wide range of furnishing fabrics for the home. Find British and European-made cloth, much of it rescued deadstock from manufacturing mills and independent fashion houses, the type of fabric you won’t find anywhere else.
When does it start and finish?
The Birthday opens on Saturday 31st October and runs until midnight on Sunday 15th November.
Is it a sale?
No. Fabworks doesn’t do sales. The Birthday is about exclusive fabrics and free gifts with your order.
Birthday Exclusive Products
Will you restock?
Almost all fabrics, haberdashery & accessories that we sell are rescued deadstock, so once they sell out they won’t come back. That’s true of our entire product range, not just the Birthday exclusives.
What size are the remnant pieces in the wool and cashmere bundles?
The smallest size is 10cm x 5cm, the largest size is 40cm x 40cm. Each remnant bundle contains a range of varied sizes and shades within the colour palette. These are smaller samples, offcuts and remnants suitable for crafting, not full-width pieces.
What size are the One-Off Cashmere Large Pieces?
The exact size of large piece varies and is less than their original width of 150cm. The length and width measurements are stated within the individual product description,. The shortest length of any of these pieces is 100cm.
Free Gifts
If I spend £300, do I get two scarves and a throw?
No, the free gifts do not stack. You receive one gift per order, for the highest tier your order reaches.
Which wools get the free lining?
When purchasing a wool or cashmere fabric over 1.5m (3 units Cut Length) you will receive a lining fabric of the same length. For example, 2m (4 units) of wool comes with 2m of lining.
Can I choose the lining colour?
We colour-match it for you. That’s the point of the offer: you get a lining that works with your wool without having to hunt for one.
Where are the scarves & throws from? These lambswool and cashmere scarves and throws are made in England by one of Europe's leading wool and cashmere mills that produce high quality fabric and accessories for luxury fashion houses.
Do I need to enter a code at checkout?
No. Every qualifying order gets its gifts automatically. Just place your order.
How do I know if my order qualifies?
Every order placed from 31st October until midnight Sunday 15th November qualifies for all Birthday offers.
Do the free scarf and throw gifts apply to all orders?
Yes. Every offer qualifies if the value of your order is a minimum of £100, whatever you buy. All items that you purchase counts towards your spend.
Can I choose my scarf or throw?
Each scarf or throw is a surprise, a lucky dip chosen at random and added to your order. We choose the scarf for you. It will be lambswool or cashmere, depending on your spend. One scarf or throw per order, orders are not cumulative, so you won’t receive multiple items.
What is the quality of the free scarves and throws?
Fabworks works closely with local mills to provide only English-made accessories. These lambswool and cashmere scarves and throws are made in England by one of Europe's leading wool and cashmere mills that produce high quality fabric and accessories for luxury fashion houses.
Can I combine two orders to reach a gift level?
No. Each order is counted on its own, so the gifts are based on the total of a single order, excluding shipping costs. If you’d like to add something to reach the next level, please place everything together in one order.
Do the offers apply to international orders?
Yes. Every offer applies to orders worldwide.

How To Get The Most From The Birthday Offers
Birthday Exclusives Are Likely Sell Out First
Don't delay too long. From experience of previous Fabworks Online events we know that the specials and one-offs will go quickly. These are all very limited in number - each one-off item is a one of one so there is only one individual person who will be able to order it, for the hampers there are only a limited number of units made and we cannot make any more once sold out. Remember that adding an item to your basket does not reserve it.
