Overview:
Luxury Black is a 100% Cashmere Melton, woven in Yorkshire by Joshua Ellis, the Batley mill that has been weaving fine cloth since 1767. At 312GSM this is a dense, coat-weight cashmere, heavier than the twills and herringbones in our cashmere range: a classic black, seriously soft and with endless possibilities.
This beautiful cloth is a lighter weight version of Luxury Midnight.

Design: Classic cashmere melton: a dense, plain design, with no pattern repeat, so there's never a worry about pattern matching. Cut all pieces in the same direction to keep the colour even.

Texture: A luxurious and lightly brushed, super soft, melton finish, with an even surface texture. Dense yet still very fluid when in the hands. A smooth, even surface that shows off the depth of the black.
Handle: An impeccable hand: seriously soft, malleable and incredibly cosy, with a softness that is so comforting. Coat weight without coat stiffness: Luxury Black holds a tailored shape well yet drapes smoothly and is very easy to handle as you cut and sew.
Drape: Drapey despite its density, it falls with a reassuring weight, so coats, capes and longer line garments will swing elegantly.
