This top-notch, natural fibre blend- sateen type fabric boasts a pleasing natural soft earthy brown solid hue, with tiny clay flecks throughout and the subtle lustre of rain-soaked, ploughed earth. Gentle Earth is one of those pleasing natural, warm hues that sits with a wide range of other natural and neutral hues and always has a timeless style.
Properties:
Gentle Earth is woven from fine linen and cotton yarns in a close flawless sateen-twill weave which presents itself on the face side with a subtle sheen. The reverse shows the strong foundations of a staggered twill weave at its base.
This medium-weight fabric is stable width and lengthwise with a semi-structured feel. A reassuring drape will be achieved when using this fabric at lengths over one metre. This high-quality sateen- twill, will form sharp pleats and full gathers where required. The density and weight of the fabric will also create drama and sculptural details.
