GSM: 218
Composition: 100% Ramie

Colour:
Shades: Created from ash grey warp yarns and slate blue weft yarns. The combination of dyed yarns creates wonderful striations redolent of layers of slate within a quarry.
Design: This finely woven ramie fabric features the classic diagonals of a super smart and lustrous twill. A black coating is found on the reverse.
Overall: Classic, timeless and seriously stylish. A shade that never goes out of style.
Properties:
Texture: Boasting the fresh crispness and smooth twill texture. This fabric has a coated finish on the reverse, which creates a stiff texture.
Handle: A clever back coating provides an extra crispness and stability, and a waterproof back coat. The face is not water-resistant.
Drape: A structured drape quality, this fabric is much better suited to crisp, structured designs.
Garment Suggestions:
Types: Use this first-rate twill to make timeless jackets, coats, trench coats and trousers with the casual style of face and the waterproofing of the coated back. This fabric is ideal for utility styles and outdoor layers that keep you protected and stylish.
We recommend you conduct your own wash-and-wear tests to make sure it is suitable for your projects.
Patterns: Consider patterns such as the Herba Apron, the Ilford Jacket, and the Paynter jacket.
Other Uses:
Accessories: When you have finished making your fabulous outerwear, make matching hats, caps and bags. Slate Mines is perfect for tote bags, messenger bags and stylish caps and hats!
Furnishings: As this fabric is backcoated, it is more resilient to wear and tear and therefore a little more durable around the home.
