This classic, solid brown-black, all-wool Melton fabric boasts a rich dark all-over tone. The deeply dark, solid tone combined with the properties of the fabric give the allover style of something mysterious, protective and built to last. Nazgul Black is named after the Ringwraiths of the legendary Tolkien.
Properties:
Nazgul Black is a very heavy weight and densely felted all wool melton. Fabrics of this quality are widely used for industrial protective clothing because of their natural properties. Naturally flame-resistant, dense and protective from sharp elements - (thorns etc), warm and naturally insulating, temperature regulatory and showerproof. Often used within Military uniforms, and clothing for the emergency services. Easily made in utilitarian styles, which have recently become extremely fashionable as well as practical. Nazgul Black is very stable with no ease, has a soft feel and semi-malleable hand that falls with a heavy drape and has a lustrous sheen on the face- but is best suited to structured and semi-structured styles. This fabric will only drape at length. If you need the protection of a magical cape - then this is the fabric for you.
