Properties:
Alpine Cream is a superb light airy 100% cotton fabric with a wonderful relaxed look and style.
Cheesecloth has a characteristic semi-sheer appearance and is from the same family as muslin but usually slightly heavier. Its carded cotton yarns give a slightly textured appearance which is soft and almost brushed. The addition of a crinkled finish gives this versatile colourway an, easy wear & easy care style. Throughout the '70s cheesecloth fabrics were used for high-fashion garments with a hippy/boho style, now a new take on the style has made a comeback.
This Cotton Cheesecloth has a wonderful drape quality, is malleable and soft and stable on the width, with slight ease lengthwise due to the vertical crinkles. When you have washed your fabric just shake it out and then twist it lengthwise and leave it to dry naturally and the vertical crinkles will be re-emphasised! Use the same method when packing your made-up garments and you won’t have to worry about creases where you don’t want them.

Use this fabric to make cool and comfortable S/S clothing that’s perfect for daywear and evening wear too. Add some cotton crochet lace trim for extra glamour. Try Bardot and gipsy style ruffle tops, Dairy Maid, folk-alpine style.
