Paprika & Bisque Melancholy Floral is woven in an amazing Jacquard floral design and features lovely autumnal shades. This clever fabric also has a pre-crinkled finish too! There’s no need to feel sad, however, for while its colours may be melancholy to some, they are also warm and relaxed – just like the winding down of autumn.

The intricate Jacquard weave uses three different shades of yarn across the weft and a grounding warm beige on the warp to give this fabric a multi tonal effect that is truly versatile! The reverse of the fabric displays the silky paprika and warm reddish brown bisque tones too (see photos). With such a gorgeous reverse the versatility and possibilities with this fabric are endless!

This soft, textured, sumptuous fabric boasts a reassuring drape quality and is otherwise stable with a gentle ease across the width, thanks to its crinkle element.

Paprika & Bisque Melancholy Floral is perfect for crafting vintage 1940s styles, autumnal dresses, bohemian styles and lagenlook-style tunics. Consider making loose and drapey silhouettes that fall away from the body. Take a look at Boho Banjo sewing patterns for some quirky ideas. Why not use both sides of the fabric and add a corduroy trim?

Other great uses include loose trouser styles, balloon and ruched-side seam skirts or even maxi and midi dresses. Team your creations up with western style boots and olive suede accessories for a totally country look!

It’s lovely fabric and I’m

It’s lovely fabric and I’m currently making a 1940s style dress and jacket. My recent purchase was for additional fabric to enable me to make the jacket.
