Lace, soft, gentle, delicate and luxurious. Historically only worn by the wealthy and gentry. Now available to all in many forms, compositions and colours! Used to accessorise or trim garments or as the main focus. Particularly favoured for lingerie and occasion wear.
This super-stretch, soft lace has a lovely faded emerald hue. The vertical striped design incorporates diamond lattice motifs which produce a very retro '60s style - similar to Argyle tights! The alternating semi-opaque and open mesh stripes provide the ideal opportunity to create garments that offer modesty by covering bare arms and legs yet maintaining a light airy style. This lace is soft and malleable and has excellent stretch.
Use Lightweight Stretch Lace - Faded Emerald for close-fitted garments which require - stretch; 30% (length), 60% (width)
Pretty lingerie, bras', bralettes, crop tops, pants, knickers, bodysuits, camisoles etc. Suggested pattern ideas: Josie Bra and Pants- Made My Wardrobe, Lawren Bodysuit PDF or Maris Bralette and Panty by Madalynne. There are many other excellent patterns available these are purely suggestions.
You don't have to keep this pretty fabric under wraps, team with toning or contrasting stretch jersey, stretch velour or soft-touch jersey/interlock to create pretty tops, tunics, dresses. Alternatively, utilise the Argyle style and create '60s style lace leggings, bolero style tie front shrugs and stoles - ideal for covering your arms when wearing sleeveless dresses and tops. Take a look at the Apple Picker Dress from Sew Different where Faded Emerald forms the bodice, we love the idea of using multiple lace fabrics to create an eye-catching colour-blocked effect!
