You will find gabardines, twills, serges, puppytooths and other classic styles in this collection, all of which are perfect for cargo pants, trench coats, bodywarmers, military jackets, utility wear & other classic military styles.
Supple and malleable like suiting wools but with more weight! Think practical, sturdy fabrics that are built to stand the test of time. Featuring gold-woven selvedges ~ a sure sign of quality.
This collection was launched in August 2025, and has very limited availability of 20-30m of each fabric available in total!

This fabric forms part of a collection of superb, finely woven wool uniform fabrics, all manufactured in Huddersfield by an independent producer. Many were originally commissioned for military uniforms and were specifically made to suit the hot climates of the Middle East. Expect fine-quality, hard-wearing, elegant and super-smart fabrics. Shade: This superfine, golden selvedged, blended wool twill features a solid deep olive green hue. This heritage-inspired tone evokes the strength and ceremony of traditional Military uniforms, yet is softened by its natural organic undertones.
Design: A solid all-over hue featuring a classic fine twill weave with a woven selvedge!
Style: Perfect for a classic, heritage, Military style. Alternatively, historical, organic, cottage core layers, teamed with ditsy Liberty prints and hand knits. Utility nature lover. Pair this verdant beauty with other nature-inspired tones such as rich plum, burnt sienna, dusty rose, and warm hazel brown for the ultimate Autumnal palette.
Properties:
Texture: Guardman's Green has an even, fine surface texture, thanks to its close twill weave and its almost brushed feel. The wool content is noticeable to the touch, yet not itchy or irritating. It feels cool initially, but it will naturally adjust to the wearer's body temperature. The polyester content adds durability, makes it easier to care for and has the feel of a soft washed cotton chino type fabric.
Handle: This fabric is stable both widthwise and lengthwise. With its lightweight and gentle bias ease, it’s a reliable all-rounder that handles well and sews beautifully.
Drape: Expect a weighty drape with a satisfying 'swish' when used in volume. It forms crisp pleats, tucks, and elegant ruffles with excellent body, perfect for structured silhouettes or fluid tailoring.
