Introduction:

Supersoft Dusty Lilac - Cotton Single Jersey has wonderful year-round versatility- perfect for teaming with your heather-hued woollens.  A basic staple in the fabric family and is a must-have addition to your fabric stash!

Colour:

Lilac with a hint of grey- think of faded lavender and this is the subtle hue we have here. Excellent teamed with classic royal purple, teal, turquoise and grey.

Properties:

Boasting a super soft and comfortable, almost brushed, feel with good retentive stretch, width-wise (30%) (thanks to a little added elastane) and lengthwise ease.

Dusty Lilac is lightweight, but not at all flimsy and has excellent opacity and has an excellent drape which will form pretty gathers and ruffles.

Garment Suggestions:

Single jersey fabrics are ideal for creating easy wear easy-care quick make garments for the whole family; such as T-shirts, vests, camisoles, simple T-shirt dresses, and shirred bodice summer dresses ~ add some pretty ruffles for added impact. Utilise the soft drape quality and create blouse-like Dolman sleeved tops, with deep gathered cuffs for a retro style.

Twist and knot detail tops are flattering and perfect styles to make in this soft cotton jersey. Team with other similar-weight single jerseys to create contrasting baseball-style raglan sleeve tops like the Tilly and the Buttons - Frankie T-Shirt.

Other Uses:

This versatile Dusty Lilac cotton jersey fabric is ideal for adding to your 'me-made' accessories wardrobe for elegant headwear, scarves, turban styles and easy-make infinity scarves which are perfect for year-round wear.

Good quality and lovely colour

I bought this specifically because of the lovely periwinkle colour — I was a bit hesitant because of the previous poor review, but I’m glad I did. There is some slight bobbling on the wrong side of the fabric but not on the right side, and the fabric has a good weight and structure. I used it to make the Sew Liberated Bedrock tee which came out beautifully.

Not the best

Misleading description as I thought it would be nice and stretchy. It feels more like just a cotton Jersey. I tried to stretch it but it didn't have hardly any stretch and the recovery isn't brilliant either. If you want to make a loose t shirt it's ok,other than that it's useless for what I intended it for. I can also tell by the knit that it will pill when washed.
