Cornish Cream is woven with 100% natural wool yarns, the colour of all things pure and natural. Think fresh Cornish cream with buttery yellow undertones and rich, good-for-you, sun-infused indulgence. This classic cream hue has a cosy and comforting look (and feel). There's a certain, innocent, timeless style that goes with garments created in this wholesome neutral hue. Perfect teamed with most other colours and hues, but sit this with, camel, tan, and taupe hues and you're on to a winning combination.

Properties:
This heavyweight and closely woven wool fabric has a brushed, fluffy, felted, blanket-like hand that protects against the elements. Stable and extremely hard-wearing, wool melton-duffle-type fabrics naturally repel water to keep you dry and warm. With a heavy weight and accompanying drape quality, this fabric feels like a protective hug. Envelope yourself in this quality woollen! Cornish Cream is the perfect reassuringly warming, woollen fabric to beat the winter chills.
Garment Suggestions:
Traditional Duffle coats are of course the perfect garment to make from this sturdy fabric, and the blank canvas, winter-white background allows plenty of room for creative freedom, allowing one to embellish with folk style embroidery or needle felting like the Polish frock coats from around 1850, these were predecessors of the duffle coat with toggles and hood. Get creative and add ethnic embroidered trims for instant results and a unique style to be proud of.
This heavy fabric is also ideal for donkey jacket styles with leather or PU yokes. Team your garments up with aged leather, oilcloth or PU for a superb combination.
Hard-wearing shacket jackets made of Cornish Cream will pair perfectly with country tweeds and your staple denim pieces.
Historical costume makers and reenactors, this iconic fabric is perfect for a profusion of hard-wearing costumes!
Other Uses:
If clothes-making isn't your forte, use Cornish Cream for upholstery and soft furnishing projects such as rustic seat pads, boxed cushions and footstools.
